I wish unpaid summer vacations were possible.

Everyone needs a long, clean break from work. But in our modern world, the only way to get an actual break is to quit your job, take time off, and then go to a different job. Companies should offer periodic unpaid longer term leave/vacations so that we can get real time off without having to change jobs.

Taking sabbaticals is something many companies used to offer- very rare now

Mine still does. I'm eligible for 5 weeks. 6 if I time it right with holidays.
