moving in masses. Products not being made for months. I did some windows last year, ordered in Jan, didn't show up for months and then 20% higher than estimated. The factory had been shut down for 4 months! Then there is the lumber mess. I don't think people realize how much effort had gone into the last 30 years of building a just-in-time supply chain in the US. When one part broke, the entire thing tumbled. That is one reason for moving tons of stuff from China to Mexico, to control the environment more closely.

And then there is the Fed and the basically free money. They aren't going to put a damper on housing, heck they are buying up most of the notes. Want to know where all the money is coming from....print money to buy mortgages.

I tried to buy two houses, got outbid on both. Cash offers for both. Very madening, but part of the game. Still looking, but getting very picky.
