Take basketball out of it, lets say whatever you do you've got an offer that would double your salary and you have to move from wherever you are to Tucson Arizona. In doing so you:

1. Have to move your family, uproot your kids from whatever school and friend groups they are in
2. Move to a different company that has been considered to have pretty poor leadership
3. Taking over for a guy who was fired after bringing national scorn on the company and your exact position.
4. Taking over for a guy who had for years been supported by the company despite evidence of significant cheating - thus casting significant doubt on the integrity of the company as a whole
5. The company will be facing disciplinary sanctions that will make your job much more difficult to have success in
6. Leaving a company with great ethics where you are loved and your personal ethics are embraced for a company which doesn’t appear to have similar values.

Would you leave your situation for that just to double your salary?

Honestly doubling my salary wouldn’t be worth it to me with the other baggage
