What on earth does it hurt to interview somewhere? At the very least you you meet new people and form relationships. At the most you find out your worth to another company. I'd think Pope to be an idiot if he didn't interview. For all we know, his success at BYU may implode due to some huge honor code scandal, and if he's turned down every interview request, where does that leave him? Give the guy a break. He's a smart guy. He should be interviewing occasionally. For all we know he interviewed twice and then respectfully declined an offer.
