Is there a fire code that requires hotel doors to not be more soundproof? Might
As well have just a curtain up, it drives me crazy. It Wouldn’t be that hard to put some weather proofing on the bottoms so you can’t hear every sound in the hallway.

I wouldn't be surprised if hotel doors and or locks are intentionally designed
