I see it unlikely that these 12 are allowed to remain in the CL. That means the CL worth is highly diminished. If another club now wins that, what does it actually mean? It’s like playing in the NIT.

It’s just a lame move from a competition standpoint. I’d be pissed too as a non-12 team and wouldn’t want to play nice with someone who makes a move like this.

These 12 aren’t even necessarily the best 12 clubs. I know they want to expand to 20, but this does not guarantee this league will include the best teams. Some of the best teams will be left out cause they aren’t rich enough, or aren’t in the cool kids club.
