Ok, generally speaking I have veins like garden hoses, and they are easy to find and donate blood. I'm 6'-4", so donating blood usually doesn't effect me much, so recently, I have been trying to donate more since they keep telling us that supplies are really low right now.
Anyway, so my HCBW and I went to give blood on friday. The tech completely botched it. I have this HUGE bruise in my inner elbow. It doesn't really hurt at all, but it sure is ugly... all kinds of shades of green and yellow and black...
BUT, look, if you are phlebotomist and your job is to stick people all day every day ... and a 6'-4" with giant veins shows up ... YOU should be able to stick him without causing a ton of issues and a giant bruise!!! If you can't get ME hooked up, you are going to have a hard time with ALOT of people!!

PS, just wondering ... on the last couple of donations, they also recorded COVID antibodies or not.... I just got my second vaccine dose (Moderna) a day or two before ... will I test as "positive" for antibodies or are the vaccines sufficiently different that the antibody screen will still say negative?
