I hesitate to write this as I don’t post much at all but perhaps it will help me sleep better. I’m genuinely surprised at the traffic on here relating to crypto. Concerned is probably the better word, but I know how paternalistic that sounds. I’d like to see all those tied to BYU do well financially, but I suspect there may be some on here enjoying the day trading high and who may be overextending how much they have at risk. Obviously do what you will, but please be sure to check yourself (with your spouse, where applicable) if you find yourself caught up in the excitement. I really am nervous we’re going to hear stories of people making bets that they can’t shrug off.

Partial disclosure: My work for the past 10 years makes me more familiar than most about crypto and I’ve been involved (and still own both ETH and BTC), so I’m not trying to say there is not a place for any crypto in a portfolio.
