Me. I am currently performing a much more round about way to do it and will see if it works.

Basically buy btc elsewhere, convert it to BNB at kucoin.com, transfer to trustwallet, switch it to BSC, then use pancake swap to buy safemoon.

Huge pain in the butt and probably a simpler way but I'm tired of waiting on trustwallet.
