and Steph is by far the most closely guarded star player in the NBA. Lillard is second. If you play with either of those guys, it's free lunch all game with the attention Curry and Lillard draw from the defense.
One of the most fun things this season has been following the advanced stats for Curry. For example, he is shooting over 52% on three point attempts where he takes at least seven dribbles. And he has taken over 100 of those shots this year. The skill required to do that is unimaginable which is why these stats are so fun.
And this isn't one guy showing off to the detriment of his team. The Warriors are better when he is taking a lot of threes because of the space it creates for everyone else and for how efficient he is. Curry is also fifth among top twenty scoring leaders in 2P% trailing only three centers and LeBron.
The sad thing about the Warriors is the rest of the team. For fans who feel like they could have done a better job assembling Curry's surrounding cast, they are probably correct. The Warriors still only have one win without Curry this season.
