True on all counts. Their conservative estimate for grizzlies in the Greater
Yellowstone Ecosystem is 700. But many acknowledge it's easily double that.
Their argument now is that population and genetic diversity will suffer if we don't allow them to continue to grow and connect with the grizzly population in near Glacier.
Like any large animal, the Yellowstone grizzlies need to be managed. When the population is too high, you have to hunt them.
