Is there some sort of lifting philosophy I am not aware of where basically you hold tension for a long time but have
very little range of motion? I see it so much at my gym it makes me wonder if they all know something I don’t.
Like, for example, I see lots of guys doing pull ups but they keep their elbows at close to 90 degree bend and do lots of reps only contracting slightly. Or they do curls with pretty much the same thing. 90 degree bend lots of reps only contracting slightly (often with a swing if the shoulders for momentum as well).
