It’s annoying, you get used to it after a while. Definitely annoying at first.
It might safe you from breaking a tooth from grinding, which can be expensive to repair.
I grind my teeth and wear a night guard now. I’ve never broken a tooth but know a few people who have from grinding.

Agree with this. However, after a while, I found it was definitely easier to sleep with it than without.
