About a year ago we got a Frenchie, and life has been awful ever since. Will my kids hate me forever?
My wife and I are 95% sure we are rehoming the dog. Reasons for doing so:
1. Despite all the warnings, we believed the kids would help take care of it. FALSE, it's a huge issue to get them to do anything for it.
2. The hair shedding is disgusting. It's everywhere, and sometimes I'll find it in the laundry.
3. Despite professional dog training, and constant training with treats, etc, she still poops and pees in the house. Disgusting.
4. I am mildly allergic to her fur.
5. It's the source of constant disagreement over who needs to train or do something for her.
6. Truly, it doesn't seem like anyone is getting any joy from the dog, and perhaps we just aren't dog people. Seems the dog would be better off with dog people.
Anyone rehomed a dog and regretted it? I've given it the old college try for over a year, paid through the nose for it, and I think I'm done.
