The Jets should go all in on offense the first three rounds of the draft
Zach first, then 2 OL and a RB or WR with the next three picks (best available). They aren't under pressure to win next year, and if they can go out and average 27 PPG, their fans will be happy and encouraged even if they go 6-10.

If they tried the other route and focused on building defense first, a comparable performance from the defense wouldn't get the same level of happiness and excitement from the fans and could hurt Zach's development and confidence.

Based on who is making the decisions and based on the mocks I've seen lately, the best bet is that they'll go in the middle somehow, which could be good but could also be bad. A lot of mocks have them going edge rusher after Zach, but all of the edge rushers in this draft are talented gambles. Quite high upside and very low downside.
