In my book, that would provide huge cred.

Just like I have no idea who is coming out of the NBA West, I have no idea which one of the five quarterbacks are going to actually end up being the best. There are so many compelling arguments for and against all of them.

I would love it if they all had some success and unofficial rivalries developed that last years. It would be great to not really be able to make a determination on which one was truly the best until all five hang up the cleats and all five have a case to be made.

But historically, one or two of them are actually going to be busts, another one or two might be serviceable, but likely disappointing based on draft position, and maybe one of them might actually end up being a Hall of Famer.

Or it might end up being Kyle Trask or Kellen Mond. Or some Tom Brady like guy that none of us really know anything about...

With all of the technology and analytics and everything that has been put into sports science, drafts in all sports are still pretty much a crapshoot. It's crazy.

But I like that play a lot, and if for some reason Fields doesn't work out as a quarterback, I hope he doesn't follow the Tebow route and refuse to do anything else. Dude seems like he's an athlete and could be a player in some way if the quarterback thing doesn't work out.

I could totally see Taysom actually doing that if for some reason he doesn't get the gig and it looks unlikely he gets another chance. But he definitely deserves a real chance and I think he'll be pretty good. Maybe not pro bowler, but I think he'll be solid.
