He has been under the media microscope for quite a while now, and has handled himself well. His family has also been under the media microscope, so they are also used to it. He has gone through some very hard times during his BYU football career, and has persevered.

As long has he can remain physically healthy, and can withstand the inevitable growing pains that rookies have to experience, then he should be just fine. His unique mindset and experiences have prepared him well.
