My oldest turned 15 a few months ago and I am trying to decide if I should encourage him to get a summer job. It’s a different world than when I was a kid. I started working at 8 yrs old and never stopped. (Paper routes were child labor and I can’t believe they got away with it)

I would love advice from anyone that recently went through this with their kid and if it was good for them, and also advice on opportunities for a 15 yr old kid in Utah County.

I’ve always been in favor of working hard but my children have not been raised properly that way (my own fault). I want to fix where we went wrong.
