He raked bunkers every day all summer. That was the hard part but it was nothing compared to the good parts.
He got himself to work via bike every day by 6 am. We live 3 miles from the private course. He was late only one time. He gets to drive this year.
He worked on a crew of Latinos (Mexicans one summer & Puerto Rican last summer). The crew treated him really well. They spoke almost exclusively in Spanish which really improved his language skills.
Because we’ve always been in a tight labor market they are very flexible with his hours. They pay well too including a Christmas bonus each year (10%).
He’ll be eligible for a $10k scholarship when he graduates. It’s renewable for each year he returns.
