I always think every teenager (no matter what family finances are) should
either work food service or retail to learn what it is like to deal with ornery people. It will help them be respectful later on.
Of course, there isn't a lot of retail stuff open right now in some places. So, my suggestion would be to have them buy a pressure washer and go around power washing garbage/recycle cans and/or driveways or porches.
