In particular, I'm worried about the current state of the education system. In particular, for many kids, especially in poorer areas, this will be a lost educational year. Second, the wildfire spread of certain poisonous ideologies within the education system will have huge effects. Thankfully, this past week showed that a lot of parents aren't willing to put up with the latter and were willing to risk cancellation to get rid of it. Hopefully that continues all over the country.

So I agree with the economic optimists in that you can't hope to time things and we are generally good at recovering. That said, there are some long-term worries.
