I remember being forced a couple times to eat them as a kid, but don't know why anyone would eat them now.

They're absolutely terrible, are they exceptionally cheap/easy to grow?

My wife and I make our kids try lots of different foods, at the very least it makes you appreciate truly good food. But we agree there's just no reason to have lima beans in the house.
