I’ve always wanted to complete an Ironman or Ironman 70.3. I’m a strong cyclist who rides frequently (7-10 hours a week) and at times have run competitively including a half marathon. Where and how should I start to prepare? What should I expect in terms of hours per week? How does a training week look? How long should I take to prepare? To be honest, I’m not overly excited about the swimming portion and want to get away with the minimal swim training possible. I have completed a mile swim before but my technique is probably lacking. Anyone completed one and could answer my questions? I’m looking for a middle of the pack finish and an (as much as possible) enjoyable race day experience. Thanks in advance.
