We live in the Raleigh-area. Our local stations have all been closed for the
past three days. Our school district cancelled school today for concern that teachers and students wouldn't be able to make it to school.

For whatever reason, Sheetz stations seem to be able to stay open. Lines have been over an hour long during the day. I went to the closest Sheetz at 10 PM last night and had to wait about 15 minutes.

Two years ago, the same pipeline was shut down for three weeks and I don't recall any worry or concern about gas. I recall the gas prices doubled, but there wasn't the panic-induced shortages. COVID has damaged our collective psyche... people are panicking over things that they wouldn't have given two thoughts to 18 months ago.
