Very frustrated right now with Glacier NP's ticketing process for the Going-To-Sun Highway
We're going up in a couple days and we have been trying for several days to secure a ticket for the highway. They are only releasing 145 tickets two days in advance of each ticket window. There must be thousands of people going for those tickets because they are gone in about 15 seconds and it appears to be a matter of pure luck if you get one. My wife and I plus my SIL and BIL have all been trying every morning at 8:00am sharp when they are released.

I know the highway isn't even open over the top, but we won't even be able to access the lower elevation stuff like Lake McDonald. So we're basically limited to the more obscure entry points which might be fine but I'm guessing they'll be extra crowded because of this. Oh well - we'll have fun anyway.

Supposedly they will be releasing more daily tickets once the highway opens, so those of you planning to go in July might have better luck.
