The rivalry games have been closer in score than literally any other rivalry in college football. More games decided by one score than any other pairing. These teams are much closer than the raw number of wins or losses suggest.

I mean, totally the opposite of the OP’s legitimate point that wins and losses are what matter and so these qualitative comparisons are irrelevant, but the qualitative knife cuts both ways.
The fact that you want to ignore that half or reality is what is self-loathing.
