And My thoughts about them.

1. "Upsets aren't going to happen very often" -

It doesn't matter. The hope of an upset is what makes the games intriguing. That's why I watch a 5/12 seed in College basketball. They don't happen all the time but it's exciting when they do.

2. "Bama, Clemson, Ohio State" will always win.

No they won't. They will probably win a lot. But with this model it gives East Carolina just as much of a shot as Vanderbilt and Bama. Access is the first step to parity. Anyone ever heard of Gonzaga pre 1999. No. Bama was terrible 15 years ago. There is going to be some parity. It might take time to work it out but without a 12 team Playoff your not even giving it a chance.
