Expanding the playoffs means that there is a much greater opportunity for games with something "on the line." Frankly I don't care if Alabama or Ohio State or Clemson's games are slightly less interesting, because to me they were always less interesting haha. They always won their games, so there was not a lot of intrigue anyway. Let's be honest in years past 80% of college football fans were completely checked out of the sport (as a whole, not their team) by the end of September because there was no way there team had a shot at the big prize. Keeping more fans interest longer is going to be a win for the sport.
