The Sunbelt is probably the only conference that is dedicated enough to football that would enter into an agreement with us to be "associate" football members where we schedule our own games, but the conference champ submitted to the football playoff committee is the highest ranked team - including us.

We keep our schedule, we keep our independence for the most part. We just are "members" for the sake of the playoff, and share the money with them when we go.

It is a great end-run around the red tape that college football puts up, and the Sunbelt is the most likely conference to want to do such a deal.
