The proposed new playoff format may actually impact our scheduling overall. If it is 12 teams their is a small possibility the G5 schools may water down their schedules if a spot is guaranteed. The P5 may do likewise (but more likely with FCS schools or MAC/CUSA teams). I am not sure where that leaves us. I certainly see it having a huge impact on our November schedule because teams may not want to risk injury or losses against non-conference opponents late season, but we already have that problem. I honestly don’t and BYU won’t make any decisions until this format is formalized.
