None of the G5 conferences will have their own auto bid. They will collectively share a single bid. Joining the AAC would not dramatically increase BYU’s access to an expanded playoff scenario. Our likelihood of being the highest ranked G5 champion in any given year is probably not much better than the chances of securing one of the 5 remaining at large bids as an independent.
