Yep, which is mostly Bronco having a hard time getting non-Crowton recruits
drafted, whether in the MWC or independence. Kalani's first classes, on the other hand, are just now making it through.

BYU and BYU recruiting are just a completely different animal than any other team, so it's really hard to get a feel for BYU recruiting from recruiting sites. The results on the field, however, seem to suggest that not a ton has changed between MWC and independence.

As I've said in previous posts, Bronco's classes look pretty similar throughout his tenure (the top of the classes were solid and the bottom were bad) while Kalani's have seemed to be similar at the top and much more productive at the bottom, despite crappy ratings (e.g., Chris Wilcox, Dax Milne, Keenan Ellis, Isaac Rex, Neil Pau'u, Baylor Romney, Payton Wilgar, Tyler Algeier, Isaiah Herron, Malik Moore, George Udo, Micah Harper, etc.).

Interestingly, many of BYU's higher ranked classes and recruits over the past 20 years have been absolute flops anyway (the 2010 class is a great example). It's so vital for BYU to bring in the right kind of kids that can handle the environment, honor code, academics, etc.

We'll probably have to just agree to disagree here.
