But I think the top 7 ranked conference champs should get auto bids (as long as they are top-20). This would give 2 spots to G5 conference champs and 5 at-large. Most years that would mean that top 10 teams would all be playoff bound. I didn't read through the entire proposal but from what I did see I guess only the top 4 rated conference champs get auto bids. They also need to have a better way than their playoff committee to rank teams otherwise this could get ugly (even though I'd bet they would make sure that all P5 conference champs are always top 12).
