My nephew (Billy), is having a real tough time with his dad (Chuck) right now. Chuck arranged for Billy to date a neighbor girl named Agnes. Billy casually dated Agnes, but really had no interest. Chuck was hoping the two kids would get hitched, even though Agnes wasn't really very nice looking. Billy appeased his dad by dating Agnes a few times, but the relationship wasn't going anywhere. Billy is going to be leaving for UVU in the fall, and doesn't want a relationship at this time. A few weeks ago, Chuck found out Agnes was dating another guy. Chuck stormed into Billy's room and screamed, "You must be so upset about Agnes. I might have to get professional help for you." Billy was bewildered. Chuck continued, "You were going to marry Agnes. This has got to be really tough for you. We will find a way for you to make it through this ordeal." Billy was speechless.
Chuck appears to be in a downward spiral. Some months back, Billy saw Chuck scouring over pictures of BYU football players in a media guide. Chuck would look at a picture before looking in a mirror and mumbling things like, "I kind of look like him," and, "I bet I could pass for his dad." This was especially troubling for Billy when he realized Chuck was wearing his old BSA uniform along with a Detroit Lions hat.
