You’re comparing independence against a situation that used to exist and cannot

be repeated. If we went back to the MWC it isn’t the same MWC we left. And recruiting could very well take a hit so as to be substantially worse than when were there before.

We didn’t have the choice of staying in a MWC with Utah and TCU still in it. The MWC was destined to be weaker with or without us.

The only thing that would make a return to the MWC even thinkable is if we got better playoff access in a way that wouldn’t ding recruiting.

Our long term win% vs P5s is just over 40%. Independence is in line with that rate.
