Pre-eclampsia

Just HOW dangerous is it?
My pregnant SIL has really high blood pressure and "likely" has pre-eclampsia. Im obviously curious about how common it is and how dangerous it really is. A couple quick searches make it seem really really bad.

Friends wife had it with last 2 kids. both were induced and born at 31 weeks.

Not great, but almost always manageable from what I know.

Very dangerous. Life threatening if left uncontrolled.

Yes. Sometimes leads to an early delivery, but not many Americans die from it as long as it’s taken care of.

My wife had it. She had bed rest and ultimately a C-section.
