After our experience with the Enchroma glasses at the museum we decided to buy my son a pair. Essentially they look like Ray-Bans with mirrored lenses. He got them on Thursday and had some fun anecdotal experience with them around town but Saturday was a planned hike here in Jackson.
The hike starts with a solid 2-1/2 mile climb of 1,700 feet. Much of the focus during that portion of the hike is on the workout but occasionally we’d stop and he would check out some cool flowers.
There’s a meadow near the top and it was full of flowers. I was ready to speed up a bit so I picked up the pace. At one point I looked back and my son had fallen way behind. I was wondering what his problem was then I looked a little longer and realized he was just standing there, hands in his pockets, staring at the big meadow. I asked if he was ok and he yelled back,”This is totally different!”
