Definitely easier to make more money. It's rare to be able to cut costs when
you've been cutting costs for years now, as is our case. But, we recently refinanced our house and paid off our car loan and now have around an extra $1000 per month that I wish could go into savings, but instead will be used to pay for college for both my oldest and my wife.
If nothing changes - which I hope it will for the better in the coming years - we will have enough to semi-retire by the time I'm in my 70s, but I expect that I'll always have to work.
