AAC TV contract and bowl tie-ins if you're interested

According to this, each school gets about $7M per year, but I think UConn was still in the league then, so it's probably a little different. That number also represents all of the other sports as well, I'm guessing $6M or so comes from football only. The AAC is broadcast on the ESPN networks, however, about half of the games are on ESPN+ according to this article. That wouldn't go over so well with many BYU fans.

According to this, the AAC has far more bowl opportunities to play against P5 teams than the other G5 conferences. The MWC only has 1 bowl game against the Pac12.

Conclusion if BYU were to end up in the AAC: TV money is probably similar to the new BYU contract (I'm guessing), exposure is less because of way too many games on ESPN+, and bowl opportunities are far better than what BYU has currently. And of course, the road to the CFP seems easier and more direct than as an independent (would have to go undefeated or possibly as a 1-loss team).
