Our middle-schooler lied to us about brushing his teeth this morning. After we force him to brush his teeth, and he moves like a slug, he misses the bus. When we try to get him into the car to drive to the next bus stop, he has an absolute melt-down screaming at us so loudly that the neighbor comes outside to see what is going on. We bring him inside to try to calm him down and he continues to scream at us, waking up his younger siblings. I lose my temper with him and yell at him and now my wife is giving me the silent treatment for losing my temper with my son. It's a 20-minute drive in both directions to the school, putting me 40-minutes behind on my day's work.

He's usually a great kid, but 12 year olds... freaking ticking time bombs.
