people are growing up with and maintaining a normal family support system. More and more people are going it on their own and looking for happiness from experiences or other sources vs. deep long lasting family relationships. And that applies on the front end (their birth family) and on the other end (not getting married and having a family). Lack of those deep meaningful connections is a recipe for disaster I think.
