got massive holes and didn't get hit until he was several yards past the LOS. Again, I'll believe you if you show me data. But it defies common sense. If you have another 5 yards to accelerate before you make contact, you are going to be going faster when you make contact and be able to get more yards after contact.
Sure I agree that yards after contact is more about a RB's ability than yards before contact, but that doesn't mean that a great OL and a poor defense doesn't influence yards after contact significantly.
