Your logic here actually contradicts exactly what you're saying. In an earlier post you are saying that if someone hits
a massive hole they have an advantage of speed and that will skew the yards after contact. And now you're saying that the speed from lining up further behind the line is a disadvantage. The fact is the data very much supports that yards after contact are in fact independent of the offensive line and are a great indicator of a good running back. It's not counter intuitive at all.
