Is this the same Brewer that was in a NY6 game the year before and then had an Oline that was so bad they stole your best coach from your staff to make them better? Maybe he is "leveling up" behind a better Oline (all returning starters), a proven rushing team, and a very sold defense to get him through his next and final year? Given it's his last, does make sense you get a better supporting cast, don't you think?
There are concerns for every QB, like one that couldn't make it through a couple G5 games without missing a season, we had a Wynn like that. Or another Qb that hasn't faced a P5 team, oh wait, that is all your QBs right? Maybe a QB that has never played in a college game but are all "in a battle"?
Your point of reference is a number that went down when he lost all his support around him? How was did Wilson's numbers drop against CCU compared to the rest of the cupcakes he played? Was that 6 points better than Bentley who everyone admits had a tough time all year and a very inexperienced Oline in front of him. Bentley had a really rough Oline in front of him, how was Wilson's Oline, TE (FAA right) and NFL WR? Is it possible numbers can drop when you aren't the better team on the field?
I'm just pointing out that Brewer had reasons to step back last year and you shouldn't judge him just off of that when he has the yards and previous NY6 season to show what he can do with a good cast around him, one like Utah is supposed to have this year.
