I have a furnace and duct work in a crawl space area. Lately when I turn on the ac, the whole house smells like the crawl space.. musty and gross. When we had a home inspection done before buying our place a couple of years ago, it revealed there were a few ducts that were in bad shape and not connected properly. I had an ac guy come out and he cleaned the ducts and repaired ducts that weren't sealed or connected properly. Total cost $1,500.

Near the end of his vacuuming the vacuum died. They tried multiple outlets, no luck. He said it was just the vacuum. Now I'm wondering how well the vacuum actually worked to brush and clean in the vents. After he left I went down in the crawl space. I found several connections with the old tape and no repair. I took pictures and sent them to him and he is coming back out tomorrow to "fix" it. Work was busy today and I wasn't able to inspect and micromanage his work.. That's why I hired it out anyway.

I can't help but feel like I got ripped off, and I feel sick about it.
