There is now no benefit to expanding the big 12 as it will lessen the payout per school. And if there is some reason to expand the BIG 12, they will head east, not west with additional schools( Cinci, UCF or Houston)

2) BYU as an independent will never receive an invite to the playoff. This year proved that. BYU was not going to get a NY6 bowl game even if they would have beat CC.
These bowls are about money, not fairness. The money is going to stay in the conferences.

AAC makes the most sense to gain access to the playoff, but that door may have closed. Why does the AAC need to expand now. They will always have one of the top 6 rated conference champions and why add another team to share the payout.
