2020: 9-0 Cincinnati (#8) (Three undefeated G5 teams last year)

4 out of the last 5 teams that earned the NY6 spot were undefeated. 3 of the last 4 were ranked in the top 12. Being a top ten team was an exaggeration, you have to be top #15 team, going undefeated or one loss at worst was not. Although based on last five years, one loss appears to be an exception as well. However, you also make my point. 11-2 G5 school rarely, if ever, will make it in. Two G5 teams will never make it in. G5 schools are vying for one spot.

It depends entiirely on the SOS that goes with the 11-1 schedule. With the 2021 schedule, it;s possible. Not with 2020.
