I was hopeful UVU would take a chance on his injury
but between Pope turning their program around --& Madsen's many connections-- taking a risk on a guy with Lowell's ceiling just doesn't make sense to UVU anymore, probably. Even a fully healthy Lowell wouldn't have likely been a top-3 player for Madsen last season.
Look no further than Connor Harding for context. While Harding will likely be a solid player for Madsen this season, it's quite doubtful he'll be a star player for them, & might not even be a starter. They have a couple very talented backcourt players returning.
