Except when the academics look at the athletes HS classes and grades and predict
success or failure. I agree that a borderline athlete who exhausts resources available will graduate in the field of their choosing.
I doubt a 2.5 GPA kid from anywhere will make it out of BYU with a degree in 4 or 5 years. He may be eligible to play but that’s all and that’s not right.
