Update to the update
Ten days after finding it very hard to swallow, I finally had a CT scan today (had to scratch and claw to get it done this soon, 4 days after the order was placed). I've upped my dosage of omeprazole significantly since Monday and I can in fact swallow a bit better, but my GP's admin just called telling me the GP (who didn't order the test, but to whom we had it sent anyway) wanting to talk to me Monday about an endoscopy and biopsy. Still haven't heard from the ENT who ordered the test; I hope to have a follow up with him early next week, too. But I get to think about a "biopsy" all weekend, and probably longer as I wait to get it scheduled and wait for results.

Any pointers (suggested mental or other prep) from the docs or other CBers who've "been there and done that" with respect to needing biopsies? Suggestions from those of you whose results have come back positive?
